Sam Rodda

Mr. Sam Rodda is a mining professional with 20 years’ experience in operational, technical, project and managerial roles at several mining operations, including the likes of Western Mining Corporation, BHP and MMG.

Sam’s most recent role prior to joining Podium was an Executive Operations and Technical Excellence position at MMG, where he was responsible for Strategic Planning, Exploration, SHEC/Risk and Operational Excellence across international sites spanning Australia, Peru and DRC.

Also of note is Sam’s experience as General Manager of the international top 10 Dugald River Zinc mine, located in northwest QLD, Australia. As GM, Sam was charged with heading the development, ramp up and operation of this world-class asset.

Mr. Rodda holds a bachelor engineering degree (Mining) and a bachelor Applied Science (Geology) from the University of South Australia. Furthering his mining qualifications, Sam has completed a WA First Class Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency and holds a Site Senior Executive Certificate through the QLD Government’s Department of Mines.
